While this is a classic pop-science joke, very few still know that Mr. Schrödinger openly had in fact two wives (at the same time, of course!)
I wonder if this pet of his could actually be a zombie cat... Hmph...
Schröedinger was not married twice. He lived with his wife and with his mistress. But...his wife had a lover very well accepted by all the family. Well, he, I think, besides the equation base for quantum mechanics, also invented the "Open Marriage" That is why he deserved the Nobel Prize.
